The Perth International Arts Festival relies on attracting the very best staff and artists from around the world each year.
We employ more than 100 staff and contract even more individual artists and companies annually. Our staff members may be permanent or may be employed on a part-time, casual or contract basis. We regularly support work experience, secondment and volunteer work opportunities. Our artists and artistic companies may be contracted for a single event, a season, a programme, or they may even be commissioned to produce new work for presentation at the Festival.

The Perth International Arts Festival is seeking an experienced, skilled and diligent writer to work with the Marketing Director, Marketing and Audience Development Manager and Artistic Director, to write and manage the production of all Festival publications. You must ensure each piece clearly, accurately and artistically communicates the identity and program of the Perth International Arts Festival to its diverse audiences.
1. Writing and Print Production
Write copy and project manage all Festival publications. Role includes budgeting, setting timelines, liaison with external companies and Festival staff, information gathering, drafting design briefs, writing, editing, proof reading and production coordination for Festival publications.
Ensure that all printed material produced reflects the Festival’s brand, style guide and sponsorship requirements.
Gain an understanding of the various audience segments and target markets of the Festival for maximum impact of publications.
Write and proof read copy for advertising, enews and other external documents as required.
- Experience in project management, print production, copy writing and editing
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, English, Professional Writing or similar field favourable
• Salary: $56,783 per annum pro rata
• The appointment is from 23 July 2012–8 March 2013
